The Epson Stylus SX200 is different to a lot of budget multifunction printers on the market because it’s not only cheap to buy be also cheap to run. The cheapest way to run the printer is to use compatible Epson SX200 ink cartridges, which are manufactured by third party companies and cost 50% less than the genuine Epson ink cartridges. The printer cartridges for the SX200 consists of four individual ink tanks one for each colour which means you only need to change the cartridge which is empty. The Stylus SX200 offer an amazingly wide selection of functions considering it low price, in addition to printing you can also use it to scan anything from a basic drawing to a high resolution photo up to a size of A4. Copying can be performed with a single press of a button and without the need for a PC as can printing directly from memory cards and digital cameras. Printing is where the SX200 is at it best through with the quality of documents being equal to that of printers twice its price, although it is a little lacking in the speed department with a maximum speed of 4ppm (pages per minute). The built quality is also very good for a budget printer, it is well designed and everything is very easy to use. The Epson Stylus is definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a multifunction printer on a budget.
