The price of colour laser printers has come down considerable in recent years and has made them accessible to a wider range of users. Samsung CLP-300 toner cartridges are prices are reasonable too not just in terms of cost per page buy the actual purchase price of the Samsung toner cartridges is no more expensive than a set of inkjet cartridges for a mid range inkjet printer. First impressions of the CLP-300 when you remove it from the box is that the build quality is pretty average, some of the plastics feel a flimsy particularly the front cover and the paper tray cover, but overall it pretty good. The printer is amazingly compact for a full colour laser and is hard to see how it manages to hold four large printer cartridges, that is until you see the cartridges and realise that they aren’t the usually bulky units but four small cylindrical tubes which slot neatly into the front of the printer. Once operational the CLP-300 is very quiet the paper feed is smooth and the print speed is good, print quality is also very good and better than excepted. Printing text and graphics is where the CLP-300 is at its best and although it can print photographs they not of the standard which you get from an inkjet printer. Overall The Samsung CLP-300 seem to be a very good budget colour laser printer that has a price advantage over it competitors.
